Composite Deck Cleaning

Attention Pennsylvania, Delaware & Maryland deck owners. Don’t pressure wash your composite decks! Composite decks can be cleaned, but they must be cleaned without the use of pressure. Pressure cleaning composite decks will leave permanent markings in the material. Composite decks are made by many manufacturers including: Trex, Timbertech, Fiberon, Evergrain and others, but they all have the same recommended cleaning process. They all say, “Don’t use pressure”. There is a proprietary blend of cleaners used to restore the composite decking back to a like new condition without damaging the material.

Take a look at the pictures below. This deck was cleaned by using our blend of cleaners and a very soft bristle car wash brush. The customer couldn’t believe the transformation of their deck. Remember that we didn’t use an ounce of pressure on this composite deck cleaning in Lancaster County PA.

The composite decking, Trex Decking, was sold for years as a mildew and mold resistant decking material. They claimed it was maintenance free. It turns out that these composite products seem to grew the mold and mildew faster than most wood decks. The good news is that you can have it cleaned without any damage and it will look almost brand new after the cleaning. Composite decking is one of our favorite items to clean because the results are usually so dramatic. If you are skeptical, please feel free to request a free spot cleaning demonstration.
